Is there anywhere in the Dallas area where you can legally go off roading?? I've heard of places where you have to pay for the day but I dont really know where they are.. Also if anybody would like to join in that would be fun too.. I was planning on going this saturday.

I dont know about wheeling, but there are a crap load of racing places down here near Arlington. Everything from 1/8th mile to dirt track. Come down sometime and check it out

 

I know some places down south near Houston, but none up near Dallas. You should follow dirtyd88 down to our meet this weekend and I will show you some mud.

 

There is barnwell mountain. It is about an hour and half east of dallas. I am actually going there this weekend if yur interusted. I am takin the 4wheeler and some buddies are takin dirt bikes. There are plenty of trails for trucks there too. I took mine on them last time i went. We are gonna go up Friday camp out and then ride on sat. It does cost i think 20 per day.

 

When is your meet on saturday? and where?

 

Ya I was looking online and found barnwell mountain that place looks pritty cool dont know if i can make out there this weekend though.. How often do you go?

 

Barnwell Mtn over near Gilmer, Gator Run near Longview, and there is one down near Jacksonville.

 

oo **** i actually know somewhere. i told derek about it while i was in arlington checking out uta. don't remember where exactly its at but say your coming from UTA heading towards the airport its right before you exit to get onto the airport tollway. its really obvious you will see it when your driving. its right across a creek from a golf course. not sure whats all out there but it looked like fun places to offroad. derek can probly fill in the interstate name since i dont know it

 

Are the cops in Texas strict about illegal off roading?

 

That sounds like it's off of Highway 360, across from Riverside Golf Course.

The meet is at Bryan Beach, which is about 5-6 hours from DFW. We are getting a group of people together and just hanging out on the beach Saturday and Sunday.
