I may have that grill. He said he would sell me one that he has used for a display and has been used for a few cookoffs for a good price. I am confirming it is the same setup so I am pretty sure I have the grill issue settled.

If we were on solid surface, and I had a truck I could pull it with.. I could bring my uncles bbq trailer.

He has other bbq pits, I'll call and ask him tomorrow if he has one I could bring.

Chapman, what cook-off is that? It looks like Good Ole' Days in Hitch****, just curious. (I'm on the cook-off committee for Galveston county fair and rodeo, we do several of them around here)

Got the grill situation taken care of. I am going to meet the guy sometime this week and buy it. So now I get to bring the grill plus all the oak and the 100 quart. Nice

Chapman, that would be sweet if we had that big of BBQ pit out there, but i have a feeling you wouldn't get a peaceful moment.

Tequila, looks like you got us covered on alot of stuff so far, i am hoping we can get some volunteers so you don't have to bring or do all the work.

i really need to have some volunteers with bringing food, drinks, etc. who ever buys will be re-imbursed by everyone. we can once we get down there collect money and a few people make a run to the local grocery and get food, then we won't need ice chest etc.

patman, were going to bryan beach now if you haven't seen, its in freeport so closer to you.

david, yea that will work, i might just empty my toolbox and fill it up with ice and drinks.

how about we get 2 volunteers for each thing, and they both bring enough for everyone on f150online

Drinks- me (06yz250f) and david (fx4 for life)
Wood/lighter fluid etc- Tequila and (???)
Grille- (tequila) and (????)

for food, we will pick up locally, so its fresh and then we can collect money once were there and a few of us can run and pick up the food.
drinks i think bringing ahead would be easier so there already cold.

is everyone ok with a $5 fee? that would cover dinner, drinks, etc. i think $5 is more than fair enough. i can collect the fee when we are at the north and south spots and then me and a few others will make a run to the local grocery or walmart once were there and get the food.

everyone say what kind of food they want to eat, drinks they want

for food im assuming burgers, hot dogs, etc
drinks i guess just a variety of everything

ill bring a like 2 packs of hot dogs and a big pack of hamburger patties. someone volunteer buns, ketchup, mustard, cheese
and if were grilling we definitely needs BEANS!
If i do get to come, i can help with the wood. we have a few piles at my house, and I'm sure I can get a few more trees down.

That's the Chocolate Bayou cookoff, they usually run off of a benefit, Lupus, Breast cancer, etc..

We're also active in the Pasadena LS&R Cookoff.
