I haven't heard anything new. There's a LOT of beach in Galveston, surely there is somewhere we can all hook up down there.

the goal is to drive on the beach and camp there, i dont know of any other parts of galveston that you can drive on except san luis

If Galveston is not available we can head down to Surfside Beach or Bryan Beach.

wheres surfside and bryan? im assuming we can drive on both

just talked to a friend who was in galveston this weekend, and he said san luis is still open and said you can get to surfside but he didn't see if it was open, but he said the bridge was open from what i understood

Both are farther south. Yes you can drive on both. I will be heading down there in about a week and a half and will check to see if they are open.

ok cool. let us know whats open and not when you get a chance to check the beaches out.

I got stuck on San Luis a couple weeks ago.

There are hard spots but it wouldn't be ideal for a meet.

Are we talking about going out there and camping out over night?

Bryan Beach is open and good to drive one. The dunes are completely wiped out, and you can drive about 30-40 mph all the way down to the mouth, trust me, i did it.

Surfside is open too, but Blue Water Hwy has a chunk missing out of it, so you have to detour onto Surfside for a bit to get around it.

galveston really isnt that bad

i went out to a spot goin west right past the seawall a few times this week no problem
did about a six rotation donut and got out no prob lol

i may head out to san luis this weekend just to see what it looks like

i have never had a problem out there, never needed 4wd, and my friends all have 2wds and besides getting my 1 friend stuck on purpose have had no problems at all.

mmcorey, you should come out to a TTS meet, there on fridays and start around 9-930

david, are you going to bring any recovery equipment just incase some one does get stuck?

me and tequila are bringing our stuff out just in case

are you still wanting to head to the meet friday night? maybe eat at rudy's again if you want?
