DFW Ice

Ok, well I know this isn't some great off-roading story, but none-the-less I had to tell someone so here goes. Was in Dallas last Saturday night when everything started to freeze over. Decided it was time to head home before things got too bad, and headed south. No sooner had I reached the 35 67 split than they shut down 67 on me. Got off of 35 at loop 12 and was able to sneek back onto 67 via the clover leave entrance that they forgot to block. After driving a 1/4 mile or so decided it was icier than I thought and flipped it into 4 hi. When I finally made it to 20 they were letting cars on to 67 again, albeit very slowly. You have no idea how nice it felt to be doing 45 down the freeway while everyone else was creeping along at 20, all the while seeing people hitting ice and spinning out everywhere. Long story short took me about 1 1/2 hours to get to Midlothian from Dallas, but made it without any problems, and got to use 4x4 for first time since I bought the truck in August (sad I know).

I guess I will never forget that year it snowed and iced on turkey day...

It was a while back, anyway I was spending the night downtown, and had to come to Garland the next morning.

I had such a Great time watching people fly by me then seeing them in a ditch.

this one guy was doing that road rage thing and I finley let him by me. "there were tracks on 30 where other drivers had been" "it was like 1 lane" anyway after getting yelled at and shot the finger I pulled over he went around and that was that... right....NOT a few miles up the road around dalphin. there he was in a ditch.....So what did I do... I pulled over and said hay buddy need some help.....Well he quickly shot me the finger and said get lost.....not being a very Godly man.... I just said God bless you....

Glad ya got home safe....
