500,000 Posts!!

IMHO, now THAT is a cool milestone! Thanks to everyone for contributing to the continued growth and popularity of this site! The 20,000 registered user milestone is only a few weeks away!

BTW, I was asked the other day how many pageviews this site receives...after clearing up enough disk space on my PC, I was able to run a Webtrends report for January 2002...

approx 7,800,000 pageviews
approx 33,500,000 "hits"
approx 175gb in transferred bandwidth

YIKES!!

Almost half of the registered users have come in the past 12 months. This site is growing fast.

Umm Steve....

....in English - please! I have no idea what all the data transfer stuff means & I'm not even sure I know the difference between a hit & a page view but I do know this - you have an awesome site & provide us with a wealth of knowledge NO OTHER F150 SITE can compare with! Thanks!
I know we've had a few disagreements in the past (I still don't care for Volcano chat & I wanna be a chat moderator - I'm always there & I do a good job of keeping it under control - ask the guys!) but all in all I admire you for all the time, money & hard work you have put into this site to make it special.
Continued success & growth to you & this site! Now - please tell me the difference between a page view & a hit! LOL!

Page view = the actual page that you are looking at
Hit = a count of each individual item on the page you are viewing, including the page itself, each image, etc.

My vote is for Cowlady to be a chat monitor! And to be plain honest, I was wondering the difference between hits and views myself.
