At 1pm today I initiated a rebuild of the search index. Site performance may be slow today because of the resources used by this process. I have also decreased the minimum search word length from 4 to 3 and increased the maximum search word length from 10 to 12. We will see what impact this has on the server. If it impacts negatively in any way, we will revert back to the old way. Also, I am hoping this rebuild might impact the slow posting times of late. Again, we'll see...

What is the space and performance impact. Do we stay or go back?
