Question Driving Modes

New owner of a 2018, 3.5 Eco boost 4x4 with Max tow package. While I'm familiar with the Tow haul and Sport Driving modes I decided to check out the ECO mode. Does anyone know what the ECO mode actually does? There is a noticeable flattening in performance and the truck feels heavy and lethargic. The manual is vague at best in describing the ECO driving mode but doesn't explain the actual electro mechanical changes taking place in the back ground. It feels as though it cuts boost?

Eco Mode does a lot of things, same with Sport and Tow/Haul modes.

In Eco mode, the truck uses a much different fuel map to try and get more mpg.
The fuel pedal will switch to a different map as well, so you will have to push harder to wake the ponies up.
Transmission shift points are changed to shift lower in the rpm band.

I have also heard that the active grille shutters also behave differently but I haven't been able to see that myself.
