Question SuperCrew Pedal Adjuster Switch

I posted this in the electrical section and thought I'd try again here. Anyone have the pinouts for the pedal adjuster switch in an '01 SCrew? I ohmed it out to get the NO, NC, and common pins and have two pins left (4 & 5 I think). I 'm assuming these pins are for illumination of the switch itself but need to know the polarity. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Robdude30,

Heres a picture from the manual of the wiring, hope it helps. I added the numbers and colors at the bottom just in case they were to small to read.

Question update?

Did you complete the power lift modification? What parts did you need, and where did you get them? Thanks!

I would love to know what parts and how to do this!!!! Post some pics when you are complete!!! This is a great idea, theose adjustable pedals are point-less unless you are reallllly short, or your spouse is!!

I'm getting pretty close to finishing this. I'm having to do a little at a time because of workload. As far as a parts list goes.... 2 linear actuators, pedal adjuster switch, 2 DPST relays, and some wire. I also had to fabricate some metal plates to lower the lift arms on my LSII. Right now, I have the new switch, relays, and wiring installed. All the rest of the parts are laying in the bed. When finished, I'll definately post some pics.

Where did you buy your linear actuators? Cost? Could you provide some specs on them like travel, force, etc. I've looked at several actuators but can't decide which one to buy.

Many Tanx

The actuators that I found that would be able to lift the lid on my 6 Foot Bed would be about $200 each... not nice.

Yeah, they're kinda expensive. $250 each with the weather resistant covers and boots. Check out this link -

That's where I got mine. I chose these because of no need for limit switches, the physical size, and lifting capacity. This was also the only place I could find that didn't charge a fortune for the 12" long travel. You can specify the exact length you need (down to 3 decimal places) when you order....takes 4 weeks to get them, though.

Unhappy Believe it or not....

....I still haven't finished it. It is next on the list after I finish my sub box. At this point, I have the switch in, everything wired from switch to the relays behind the taillights, and the actuators are riding around in the back of my truck. Probably get started in the next couple of weeks depending on how much I have to work.

Here's some pics....

...of the second switch and the actuators to give you an idea of what they look like. The pictures are poor. I'll get some good ones up when I finish the lift.
