quality aftermarket replacement tpms sensor?

Getting ready to put new rubber on the truck, after 7 years and 35k miles the Toyo m/t's are running out of life. While I have the tires off I figured I would replace the tpms sensors so they don't die on me later (I heard the average life is 7yrs, but anywhere from 5 to 10). Ford wants $100-$120 a piece for them (seems ridiculous), Tasca is a bit cheaper at $60 a piece, but aftermarkets are as low as $35 for a set of 4. I'm sure those are Chinese knockoffs, so I'm trying to see if anyone has replaced theirs yet with some quality aftermarkets. I'll also be doing the wife's 2010 escape soon too. I've got a 2010, so I believe they are the valve stem types, the escape shows same ford part number as the f150 too.

I'll be watching for responses also.

6 years ago I set myself up with a winter set of wheel/tires. I bought new OEM sensors and valve stems from an ebay vendor which were new take-offs. Don't remember the exact price but found them to be quite reasonable at the time.

For stuff like this I kind of cringe with the Chinese stuff being it costs me ~$20 to get a tire broken down and a sensor changed.

Tire Rack wants $42 each for sensors for a 2010 FX4.

America's Tire charged $60/per sensor on my '12 F250.
Quality was great.

The last time that I bought tires, the tire dealer (Tires Plus) sold me a TPM sensor and installed it for $35. I would NOT spend the money to have a functional wheel and tire broken down to install a sensor!

FWIW IIRC they originally told me that they were $60 each and I told them that I'd do without them for that price!

PS. also a 2010 FX-4.

I couldn't get that tire rack link to work, I'll try searching myself.

And I don't agree with the gov't forcing this safety option on us, and a piece of electrical tape would suffice for the light, but I don't want to hear the dinging everytime I get in the truck. If a sensor bites the dust on me, I would probably wait till replacing the tires to fix it, kind of like now.

Ok, thanks glc. That's a Schrader automotive brand sold on Amazon at 30 a piece. Probably a better quality and a safer bet than the others. Amazon has great reviews on them as well. One person mentioned the oem ford ones even say Schrader on them, so sounds like they are the company that makes them for ford. Looks like I might go this route, to many comments on the cheepos not working or stop working after the install. So for anyone else looking, check Amazon or anywhere else for Schrader automotive part#20315. Thanks guys
