That's extremely cheap for a Ford dealer. I think the ones near me are 110 or so.

I just had mine done back in March.. Passenger Side manifold had a crack in it. I was at 84,157 miles.

Ended up costing $1,548.62

$1,207.50 in labor
Manifold and Gasket kit was $255.68

They had to remove 6 broken studs..

On my sheet I don't see how many hours it says that it took...

Acctually i believe it says 11.5 hours.

Holy crap . . . That is by far the worst I've heard. Haven't heard a million stories, but heard of enough bad situations

For that much hassle, might as well have had them do longtubes to go with the blower!

Our labor rates here in va are only $65 an hour. Can't believe that y'all pay so much!

Your dealer doesn't charge $65 an hour though, do they? There are plenty of places around me that charge around or at $65 an hour, but I wouldn't trust them to work on my truck. If I found one that did good work, was reputable, and I was comfortable with, I'd go to them. But as it happens, most are shady lol. The expensive places that me and my family and friends go to can't do stuff right, so I don't even want to know what would happen with a cheap(er) place.

Thats insane. Mine charges $35 per half hr nd $75 per hour.... Guess I can expect it to rise in the future. Or as long as fools keep buying the Rocky Ridge lifted Super Duties with $60k price tags we should be alright

I think it's an urban vs rural thing. I'm so close to Houston, Dallas for Pat. I don't even want to know how much extra money I'd have if a dealer charged pennies per hour like that . . .

I just did mine this weekend: took me ~7,5hour(really taking my time) and didn't even need to remove the starter, just lift the engine(removed the passenger side engine and transmission mount nut)
I had 1 broken stud, which was removed by welding a nut onto it. (A friend work in a fleet garage and that's own they do it all day)
Everything else was easy and straight forward.. unless you consider hard to reach bolt having a hard time(if so: don't do your own mecanic!)
Cost me 80$ for the dorman replacement and stud kit.

If those "hard to reach" studs are the ones that break, it WILL give you a hard time. No room to weld a nut onto those and some people have had to pull the motor.

Glad you got yours done though without any issues!

It was pretty much the hardest one ( front upper one) that broke. can't be really worst than straight behind the shock tower!
The lower front one would have been a pain too.

Well props to you for getting that one, those are the two that messed up for me. Couldn't find a way to get the feed in there to weld a nut

Dealer ( Chevy ) just did driver and passenger manifold repairs on my 06 XLT - was covered under extended warranty except for the studs/bolts - was about $1325.00 plus $70.00 for the studs out of pocket
