Taking it easy on her for sure. Can't wait to see plugs tomorrow. Hopefully we can get that damn tweeting sound fixed, cause it drives me crazy.

No bad miss, or codes coming up so far. It will also be scanned again tomorrow with different scanner tool. All I got is the Xcallibrator 2. I swear it sounds like a tweety bird at idle. You can give it some gas while driving it, and it seems to go away. That could be engine noise drowning it out untill you let off of the gas. Hope to get it figured out tomorrow.

Sorry double post.

Also dont forget whistles normally indicate vacuum leaks and you can normally hear a rush of air fairly easily if you listen closely. Good ear.
I have the PI heads on there. Top half of the intake was the only thing that was reused on motor.

check your idler bearings on the timing cover and the tensioner assembly for the procharger. the bearings will make a squeak when they are going out

if your wanting to upgrade to a low drag high speed bearing for all of your idlers, they would be the ones to go with.

More bad news today. # 2 cylinder is dead. All others were 130 except for that one. I am having it probed on Monday to see whether its a valve or the piston. Either way, the motor will have to be pulled because of the ARP studs. Well there goes another 2 grand out the door.

Sorry about your luck...Look at it this way. You could scrap the procharger, go with a whipple 3.4 with all the goodies, and have a fully built engine! Forged crank, H-beam rods, better pistons, big oil pan, and some built ported and polished heads. Also get the whipple ported, mid-plate, and intake flow matched to the heads and mid-plate. After all that maybe see 700 HP??? Then you would have to build the trans and the rear end... The e-locker out of the 2009+ FX4 9.75's will fit in any 9.75 housing!

Just realized I spilled out my dream build for my truck haha. I am in the middle of a mostly stock lightning supercharger swap on my FX4 screw...

I wish I could afford the wipple, cause I already got the built motor. BTW. I may have got a bad tank of gas. Talked to the guy who is doing the probe, and he has a machine that can test ethenol % in gas. He has sampled as high as 18% in this area. If the piston is bad, that may have don't it. Truck is tuned for 10% not 18.

Yep. All at 130 except #2 cylinder which would not even move gauge.

Sorry to hear this.
You can change a head with studs while the engine is in the truck. Put the studs in the back holes and 'tie' them up with a rubber band or tape wrapped around them to keep them just above the deck surface.

That was the results of the compression test. The motor has less than 20 grand on it. It's actually closer to 18. Everything seemed fine untill blower screwed up. Troyer said tune was fine when it left his shop. Right now nobody knows why it ran lean and only messed cylinder #2 up. Just my luck again.
