Fog light retro ?

Has anyone cut their bumper to retro fit stock fog lights? I really dont want to buy one and would rather save the money and rig up my own.

You can get the Blazer fog kit from retrofitsource.com and rig them up under the bumper so you don't have to cut anything. With the HID they will perform excellent too.

Why would you cut your bumper?

Maybe he is talking about the lower valance. I have wondered this myself. The depressions in black plastic are molded into that valance for particular shaped fog lamps. I also would do this way if I could get the parts for it. Would be a neat way to go about it I think.

Not sure you can make these out but that is one of the molded in places that appear a place for a fog lamp....

Good call. Could be a great place for em though. Not examined them good enough to see if they pop out or have to be cut out though. And would be a special shape light so probably difficult find.

Four wheel drive vehicles came with tow hooks and have a valance that has holes to expose them. Tow wheel drive vehicles came with no tow hooks and the holes in the valance blocked off.

The valance is quite flimsy if the holes are cut out. It might be possible to replace the valance with a four wheel drive part and put fog lights there. A new valance is around $100 at the dealer.
