Smile Starting swap next week (need advice)

After a couple of fails I'm finally going 5.4 next week my truck is in the shop as I write this I DON'T HAVE THE ENGINE YET so with that said:

I know I need:
5.4 engine with as many of the accessories as possible (ex alt throttle body)
5.4 harness
5.4 computer

I'm more than likely getting this one from a wreaking yard in Santa Fe this is their info:
8-330 (5.4L VIN L) CPR OK COMP 200 ALL 61,499 miles

NOW THE QUESTIONS
1. Will my trany work I have some guys say yes and some no
2. How do I know what computer to get should I get the donor vehicle VIN number to match it up.
3. Will my ignition work??? or do I need to get someone to program it
My truck:
2003 Expy 4.6L 2wd

Donor vehicle (from what I can tell)
2003 5.4 VIN L

THANKS GUYS HAPPY HOLIDAYS

have you done any research?????

your current transmission will bolt up to the 5.4 (you will probably have to use the 4.6 oil pan)

use the donor complete top end and wiring harness, it will plug into your current ECM

you'll want to have a custom tune done but you'll be able to start the truck without it

Read the notes at the bottom of my sig. They apply to the f-150 so pay attention to tarajerame's warning about the oil pan.

I did read about it but most of the writing here talk about them going into older models . . . did read something bout the oil pan a while back thats why I didn't want to go 5.4 3v (too many problems with that particular engine) and the 5.4 DOHC from the navy (well the guy I was going halfs with didn't say it had an custom alligator interior and some real expensive rims so that idea went down the drain fast...

So besides the oil pan anything else that I should worry about THANKS

No. Have your computer tuned to run the 5.4.

Not exactly worthless.
If you can't get a custom tune put on it (some tuners you can) then you just make sure you take the superchips tune off your truck and put it back in the tuner. Then someone else can use it and you can sell it.

That doesn't look that bad? Just slap some clear plastic over the windows with some duct tape and your good to go!

Actually that really sucks...
