i did this at lunch today...my line connecting the cap to the truck isn't in the same location as pat's though...its right by the gas inlet, so it's not long enough to hang on this...but it is just long enough that the cap itself kinda rests on the hanger, to where it doesn't just sit rubbing against the paint...good idea pat!

Yes it does have one but it is a sorry excuse for a hook. It is barely big enough to catch the thin plastic retainer that holds the lid in place. I can't stand it, I would rather have one that I don't have to worry about slipping off of all the time.

i was getting gas today and was looking at that. mine is like yours too then. i just figured it wouldnt work, but it it does at least hold the cap, i will still try this tomorrow.

I really like the gas cap mod! After doing the gotts intake yesterday, I'm all about the free/cheap mods. Can't really beat an intake for $6!

Turn your reaerview mirror 180 degrees to enjoy more windshield viewing area.

Swiss-cheese your air filter housing....

Clean and wash your truck....

really? I might have to try that one. I usually have gotten glass shops to move the mirror mount up about 2"

how did you mount that to your gas door?

edit: NVM, i guess the resistance holds it in place
