Flowmaster vs. Magnaflow

I have a reputable local muffler shop trying to push a Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow SI/DO setup over the Magnaflow (11? series???).

What do you all think? I want a growl, I dont want resonance, and I dont want to upset the neighbors, or the wife.

Don't get a Slowmaster. Go with Magnaflow! No drone, good low end power and a nice rumble sound to it!

either Maggie you go with wont be too loud. You will hear it at start up or when you are heavy on the gas. I almost think Magnaflow is too quiet sometimes until I hear a buddys Flowmaster. Its definitely louder- but it doesnt have the best tone and it drones when you arent on the accelerator hard. I would think if anything- Flowmaster's drone would get annoying for your wife in the passenger seat and may even annoy the neighbors.
Just buy the muffler for about $90, single in with dual out- and have the muffler shop put dual tailpipes on it

I love my Flowmaster 40s...lol
I might get the 50s next time,,,40s are a little loud with high flow cats.
But they were just right with the stock cats in place.

Try the 18" or 14" Magnaflow... 14" will be a little louder.. but not Slowmaster loud...

I'm running a true dual Magnaflow setup with Magnaflow cats. I love it because it's very quiet during idle, but when you first start it up or are heavy on the throttle, it sounds deep and powerful.

What did you end up with?

I like Magnaflows sound, but that quiet idle sucks.. Much prefer the Flowmaster Super 44.

I went to the muffler shop set on buying the maggies, but when I got there the owner of the shop kept strongly suggesting the Flowmaster. I went with the Flowmaster 50 series. It sounds great, so I guess I will stay with them. I really appreciate everyones input.

Our Mufflers do not go by series. We just go by size. The larger the muffler and vise versa.
