If the guy that builds your exhaust manifolds doesn't delete the EGR, and you run some good Cats, and don't have the EGR turned off in the tune and hook up the PCV system somewhat like it came from the factory, I think you should pass emissions just fine.

I built my own fan controller and used two 14 inch fans from Summit. If I remember right, they were even the Summit house brand fans, but I'm not sure exactly who made them. But they been on there over 45K miles now and still no problems.

Hmmm my question was what size...do you think 2 15" will be enough?

if you're wondering how much cooling power you need for your turbo setup you may want to call Mike Troyer, he sells e-fan kits for modified L's. he could probably recommend the right set up for your application

I'm using two 14 inch fans, in the SE Texas heat, and its enough. 15s are better and 16s are even better. But it mostly depends on the CFM they flow, and not the actual size of the fan. And the CFM mostly depends on the blade design.

You can pay out your butt for fans from Mike T and have a great setup. Or you can buy your own from Summit and come out a couple hundred dollors ahead.

If you don't feel like building your own fan controller, buy one from Mike at Madenterprise.com. From what I have heard, its the best around.

If i were to do it again i'd go with Mike Dunn's setup I've had bad luck with Troyer's fans. Bad controllers and the copper rods wearing through my radiator. The fans seem to be top of the line though. If you do opt for Mike T's, get the perma cool installation zip tys and protect the controllers from the elements as much as possible.

Fredman, well have to hook up one day, i'm back and forth on I10 from Houston to Lafayette very often!!
