I am buying a new 2010 King Ranch that comes with the rearview camera, the monitor is in the rearview mirror.

The factory backup camera is in the tailgate badge, I need to move it as the cap I am going to put on the truck requires the tailgate to be removed.

I don't want to pay for something I can't use.

Does anyone know if there's a way you can put the current camera in a different location or if I buy an aftermarket camera, place it somewhere else using the existing harness?

 

I am sure you could hook up an aftermarket camera if you attach the wires to the correct factory harness. The diagram of the pinout is on here somewhere. I would be glad to take that camera off of you hands when you get the truck. The emblem and backup camera would look great on my truck..let me know if you are interested in selling it.
