hey guys, i was wondering if someone could answer a quick queston. Right now I am using an FM modulator with my factory HU, but I am gonna buy a JVC HU that is satellite ready. I am gonan get rid of the fm modulator and was wondering what you use to plug your sat radio into your aftermarket HU that is sat ready. I didn't think mine came with anything that i can remember like that, but I still have the box,etc. Thanks for you help!

 

It depends on the HU. Usually for a satellite ready HU, the input is a stereo RCA (red & white). Your satellite most likely has a single output. Radio Shack or similar will have the right cable.

yea it is! thanks a lot man....i think i might have one laying around here somewhere...i didn't know if there was a specific one i needed...i guess you could use one tha you would use for like home stereo or something....because that is what i got.

 

It sounds like you are trying to get your external mount satellite radio unit to play through the JVC... you'd have to go through the AUX input on it with vv

then hook up the headphone jack to your AUDIO out

or if you are looking to have the Sat. radio to play AND display through the JVC (direct connect) then you are going to need this vvv
