i dont know if this helps anyone but i have the kenwood ddx8019 hu with the kenwood compatible serius receiver.my truck had the factory serius when purchased and after removing the plastic casing on the end of the sirius antenna wher it plugged into the factory receiver it plugged into the kenwood receiver perfectly and works great so i didnt have to run the new antenna that came with the kenwood receiver.if you look at the end of the antenna cord wher it plugs into the receiver and actually makes contact it is exactly the same.the factory housing unsnapps right off the cable with no effort.and yes it plugs in snuggly enough to where it will not come out.so those of you that had the factory sirius dont go through the effort of running the aftermarket antenna and ending up with something on top of your truck thats not going to look as nice as the factory installed antenna.but to each his own mine works great,looks factory because it is and cuts install time in my opinion by more than half.
