Sirius direct wire

I just bought a Sirius Stratus unit and was wondering my options for sending audio from my receiver to my factory HU ('02). I believe that my HU has the ability to accept a CD changer (it has the compile and shuffle on the 5 and 6 buttons)I haven't pulled the HU yet as I am having trouble tracking down a radio removal tool. I have heard about these PEI devices but was curious if I could use a Mini to RCA cable to make this connection. I also have an amp in place that came with the truck, not sure how its hooked up but it has RCA cables running to it.

Not too sure on using the cd changer as an aux, but you could use an FM modulator that sirius sells...

Most current sat radio units have a hard time transmitting the audio signal to the radio due to FCC passing more strict laws on fm modulator's signal strengths, so (xm and) sirius offer that piece to boost their signal

FM modulator is JUNK,,,,,sounds like an AM station playing under a bridge. Cassette adapter works great but looks junky, direct wire is the way to go,,,NO Modulator!!!!!!!!!!!

I have installed many Sirius FM directs and they sound very good as far as FM's go. I would recommend those to anyone!

Agreed, I am happy with the direct antenna connections. Not sure I could justify pay 3x as much for the PIE adapter for a minimal improvement in sound quality that most people will be able to tell the difference between the two. Just wish the Sirius antenna plug was at a right angle like the factory connection.

The FM modulator works awesome in my F150 and in my Pontiac G6. It is true that it is not the best way to get quality sound, but it is a good way. I don't take my vehicles to sound competitions, so for my needs the quality is just fine.
