Factory Sirius Cuts Out...a lot

I have an '06 with the factory sirius. It cuts out continuously. Dealer has replaced the receiver a couple days ago, but it still does it. On my way in to work this morning I decided to count, 47 times in my 42 mile trip. Anything from a short glitch to 1-2 seconds of silence as it tries to re-acquire the signal. My wife has a Sportster Receiver and I had a Starmate in my previous truck, so I know what is considered to be a normal amount of drop-out (maybe drop 2-3 times for the same trip with my wife's or my old starmate). It will go for miles fine, then for a stretch of a few miles it is constant in and out. Clear skies, little to no clouds this morning on my way in, no overhead obstructions blocking view to sky. Are these factory units like this, or should I just keep taking it back until it gets resolved? If they replaced the receiver, next thing would be seem to be the antenna or the antenna cable??

OOOOKKKKkkk!
I'm having some issues with my factory Sirius as well. I'm gonna have them check it out on my next service visit. I'm only dropping out under over passes and some over head structures.

Worth having it checked out. Wouldn't surprise me if the ant wasn't plugged in.

I have aftermarket on 2 vehicles and the factory on my Freestyle.

Each has a differenct ant mounting, and all have different places that the signal is interrupted.

Any street with powerlines above causes the aftermarket to lose signal, but the factory works fine.

Never had a problem with overpasses.

Thanks Expy, that is the info I was looking for to make sure these systems were at least as good as the standalone units.

I had a similar problem wit my Sirius antenna on a Sportster unit. It turned out to be that the very small connector wasn't making a good ground contact. I fixed it myself.
The service was cutting out for no apparent reason but worked find after fixing the problem.
