Another Sirius Q??

ok so i have an 06 fx4 and it came with sirius installed and i let it run out because i have had a sirius sportster unit for a couple years now and i like the features on it and i also use it in home alot and i don;t want to pay for 2 radios. so i'm getting it installed later this week but i asked the guy in the stereo shop if he could use the factory antena build into the truck and hook it to the car cradle for my unit. he told me it won't work. does anyone know if thats true and if there is a way it can be done so i don't have to have another antena installed .

Read a few of the posts in this forum - I believe I read that all you have to do is change the connector on the antenna lead.

The factory Antennae has a plastic covering. This covering comes apart and you should then be able to plug the factory antenna into the aftermarket sisius unit. On my 2007 i mounted the aftermarket unit below the factory brain. Email me direclty and i can send you a picture of the Factory cap.
