Sirius Install with PIE method

Hi, I'm new to the group and wanted to know if installing the PIE unit means you have to give up the use of the CD player since it looks like thats the connection used between the head unit and the radio.

Thanks

Need more info: Year of truck, what stereo does it have, stuff like that. Fill in your profile with data too.

Sorry I didn't think it mattered. I have an 05 XLT. The radio has the aux button. I just needed to know if you sacrifce the use of the CD output. I read in a couple of strings that that's where the PIE unit plugs in.

You will not lose use of your CD player. The PIE adapter enables the AUX function of your radio. There are a few threads that talk about the PIE install. Do you have audiophile? I think that may change things but not sure. I do not have audiophile but I do have a 6 disk cd changer with my radio.
