Fishin' the antenna

I'm installing a Sirius S-50 in my 2001 SuperCrew; well, trying. Any ideas about how to fish the antenna wire from the rear room top to the front dash?

Er, I meant "roof" top. Any DIY-ers out there who have done this? I leave tomorrow on a drive out to Miller, South Dakota (just me and the dog, 1300+ miles each way, hence the new radio system) for pheasant hunting. I rigged the antenna through the rear doorsill for a temporary fix, but would like some ideas about a better fix.

I ran my antenna wire up the post and across the top of the door frame inside the weatherstrip around the door. At the top rear of the back door the wire goes to the roof exposed but doesn't get pinched in the door. Quick and easy method tat keeps the wire out of the way.

Thanks, Buckeye. I thought of that approach, but wanted something more "invisible". I'm surprised that there are not any more DYI-ers out there who might have a clean approach. I guess everyone here had a custom install - much different from other forums (too much $$ in this forum??). I'm going to talk to a buddy who runs a body repair shop to get a cleaner approach to the install. In any event, after 3,100 miles and 8 days on the road I can say that Sirius rocks. From the outskirts of all of the metropolis areas that I avoided and through the "wilds" of the Dakotas, I had constant tunes, news, and (most importantly) LIVE SPORTS.

Run it through the 3rd brake light, under the edge of the headliner, over the top side of the inside of the cab (between the headliner and trim), down the A-pillar trim and under the dash. Took me a total of about 20 minutes for my "custom" install.

I'll second that and add that you can use the 3rd brake to run the wire but then go a step farther underneath and go under the grey trim. Mine works great! (though I am an XM listener! ).

Thanks, guys. Those are great tips; I'll do the install this weekend (after an afternoon fishing trip, I hope).
