Sirius and subs

OK, i know you will not hear the thump from subs when you listen to regular radio. But what about Sirius (thats NOT using a fm modulator)? I notice no differece from my subs between am/fm and sirius, but there is a huge difference when i play a CD. Is this normal or should i see some improvment?

Sorry to get to this one so late... I think this is the first time I've been in this forum! I find it hard to believe that you don't hear any thump while listening to FM; if you cannot tell the difference between AM & FM something is either wrong with your system or it's not tuned.

Now there is a day-and-night difference between sat radio & FM. I have Sirius, and the subs hit HARD -- maybe not as hard as when listening to a CD, but close. I imagine XM is the same. When listening to Howard Stern, or any other talk radio, I have to turn my subs off.

As far as my subs I'm not running anything crazy... just two Oz Audio Matrix SQ 10's. They're dual 6 ohm voice coil for a total load of 1.2 ohms. I have a JL Audio 500/1 pushing them.
