Roady Mount
Ok, I have read through a lot of mounting instructions for my XM radio. I have a 2004 F150 SuperCrew and I would like to mount my head unit by the coin holder on the Driver side dash. My question is what kind of mount would you suggest? Would you recommend the tape version that cam with the unit or another? Thanks for any feedback.

This is a little higher than you are looking for, but it is adviseable over the tape. Tape will fail eventually.
Are you sure you want the mount in that position? I would think it would make shifting gears interesting, unless you have a floor shifter.
If you decide you want a right hand mount, I'd suggest going with a pro-fit legend VSM; it has a swivel head which is a nicer than the pro-clip.
I don't know the details of the roady (how it mounts) but I would assume it can be affixed to one of these somehow.

I would recommend this mount instead...

I will be using this one on my truck since I can't go all-internal as discussed in my thread called "XM Radio Install."
Seems like a better place to mount...but it does cover one vent which doesn't really go over to the driver anyway. The passenger can still use it.
