input converter

This is a little off topic but I think you guys might be the most knowledgeable about trying to hook up my mp3 player to factory HU without using FM transmitter. Has anyone used one of these input converters? I have a cable that converts mini stereo jack to two RCA, will the HU automaticly pick up the aux input and switch to it? Im doing this on a 2003 F150 supercrew.

DavidFlach,

I don't know if this helps, but you might try visiting P.I.E.'s web site. They have an iPod kit for your model year:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
F-Series Pick Up 1998-2005
FRDN/PC-POD 20-Pin connector at headunit
Must be CD-Changer controlling radio. Not compatible with 2004 and Up F150.
