First, I would like to say that for the last month I was doing research between Sirius and XM and decided to go with Sirius. So far, I'm loving it. I mounted my sportster yesterday and it was a pretty simple. It took about a hour and half. So, here comes the pics:

I saw some installs with the pro mounts. The type where the unit sits to the right of the radio. I decided to go with the supplied mounting stand.



With the position of the sportster, I have no need for the remote. I can have my arm on the console and reach the presets with no problem.



I ran the wires through the center panel where the radio is. I'm also running the SATSWB adapter which took out the static. Question: If I change HU and go to hard wire route, does going hard wire give you CD quality? For the power, I saw an install with the radio shack cigarette lighter adapter and went that route.



I mounted antenna right above the 3rd brake light. I had to take the light out and ran the wire through that. Then I ran it though the headliner and down the passenger side door.

I'm happy the the install and the overall look and sound. I would like to thank everyone with the informative posts and hope to became part of the sirius community.
