XM Upgrade Options

I've had XM since the original test marketing in Ft.Worth andI still love it. I've had the Sony PnP unit in and would like to upgradeto something newer. I definitlely want something that is portable so I can use it at home as well. What would be the best route for upgrading- the SkiFi, Roady,or MiFi?

WillI need to replace my antenna as well? Any comments/help would be appreciated.

If you want portability like a Walkman with the functionality like a add-on kit like the Roady... I'd HIGHLY recommend the MyFi.

I have it and LOVE it. I definately see the world of Sat. Radio heading in this immediate 'portable' direction.

This thing is AWESOME!

I prefer the functionality of the SkyFi2 over either of the Roadys, but I guess that's a personal preference.

For pure portability, you can't beat the MyFi. Don't let the price tag scare you. There's a ton of bang for the buck.

Home cradle
Car cradle
Home antenna
Car antenna
Portable antenna
Home power adaptor
Car power adaptor
Car cassette adaptor
Car swivel mount
Car fixed mount
Car vent mount
Home RCA cables (to play hard wired through home stereo)
Remote
Ear buds
Leather case / belt clip
Plastic belt clip / stand

I think that's it, but you get the idea. You can take this unit everywhere. The rechargable battery gives you at least five hours of use without a power source. You can record any channel either at a press of a button, or it can be scheduled to record - up to about five hours, I believe. It also has FM modulation, so you don't have to have a hard wire connection to play through a car radio, home radio or stereo. It also has a stock ticker, and a sports ticker. TuneSelect allows you to be alerted when a favorite song or artist is currently playing.

The MyFi rules.

I had a Roady2 and didn't like it. I now have a Skyfi2 and love it. Check Fatwallet.com for links to great deals. I purchased my Skyfi2 brand new from the XM store for $49 with a car kit.

A great site for the answers to every question you might have is www.xm411.com.

On the main page there is a link that has a comparison chart of all the XM radios side by side.

The MyFi is the way to go DEFINITELY!!!!

I read the reviews and it said Boombox = no for an option but you still use the FM mode and tape player adaptor.

This thing will play on just about anything a person could own except TV but then again it just might work!!!!

I can't say enough about your options.

Just to think that my got it for me because they were out of Ipods. The MyFi has way more potential for me that an Ipod.

I give this a three...
