Post Injector cleaning

I know about the pressurized can of injector cleaner that screws into the fuel line, but isn't there a manual clean where you take out each injector and swab them up? I had posted in pre-97 and the engine forum on whether the plastic top where the wiring harness plugs into could in fact separate from the injector body itself, but nobody posted any replies. Anybody here know?

Johnny MC,

Try introducing a bottle of Redline injector cleaner into your fuel system. It's a lot easier to do, I've used this cleaner before on my prior 97 F150 with admirable results, especially with improved MPG.
