How does Ford handle TSB's? I bought 95 F150 used in 98. It only has 31K but out of warranty on time. The tranny shudders such as is described for TSB# BC0310960601 and BC0310960501. Is this something Ford will fix for free or am I out of luck on that? Also, where can you find the info contained in the TSB's? I found the numbers, dates & summaries at www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ but the actual info is not there.

I've had dealers print the text of that information for me. They haven't liked it, but they'll do it. I always print out what's listed on the nhtsa's site and carry it into the dealership so they don't try to run me around. There's no telling what the actual terms of the TSB will state, sometimes there's a time limit, sometimes you have to pick up part of the cost, etc. You'll just have to get a full print out from the dealer.
