cruise recall 05s28

cruise recall 05s28

I just got a letter from ford on my '02 screw (4x4) regarding a possible fire hazard with the cruise control. but they didnt get specific. has anyone else had this recall performed? and what does it consist of? any info. (or personal experience) would be appreciated. thanks

Go get it done NOW. It's a 5 minute job and can prevent your truck from going up in flames when it's just sitting there.

if its the same one mine had its honeslty a 2 min job.. i brought my paper to the dealer and he said put your name, mileage, and vin number on the sheet and wait one sec.. as i filled it out he opened my hood, popped in the new part, zip tied it and said enjoy ur day i was there for like 5 mins.. its free anyway.. and its for safety only.. so get it done.. TIM

Ya, it's retarded easy, I had mine done in early 05, like March 15 or so. All you'd have to do, as anyone shoulda that didn't recieve a letter is go to any dealer and they'll hook you up. More than likely they would have plenty in stock parts, but just drive in and see.

I went a couple weeks ago and they were out of the part. Is it justa fuse or is it a fusible link they put in on the brake switch?

Ditto! I had my 02 screw 4by done in April of 07 and it honestly takes like 3 mins!! get it done and besides its free!!!

Yep. 5 minute fix, had mine done about 4 months ago on my 03 Screw. Free, fast and your engine won't catch on fire:

i recomend doing this asap. 2 weeks ago at my friends house at about 2 in the morning we watched a 2002 F150 4 door burn to the ground because of this recall. insirance did not cover it because he was supposed to take it in.

my neighbor house also burn out cuz of the recall , he had big sings all over the block blaming ford for it (not funny )
