First Trip out in the untuned 22 F150

made our first trip out with the f150 today!!! was pretty interesting

2wd reg cab with driver weighed in at exactly 4600lbs on the local truck stops scale.

pulled straight to the lanes, had to sit about 45 minutes before running. i already knew that off idle the car would react the best from street testing "seat of the pants"

first run she did a 1.94 60' and 13.06.... i thought a 12 might happen.

hot lapped,
2nd run shed did a 1.92 60' and 13.04.... less hopeful for a 12

hot lapped
3rd run i tried stalling it up, and like i thought, 60' was worse and et was down.

hot lapped again, something on the timing system was off, had me at a 13.7, and a 2.45 60, no chance...

went for 1 last run, sat about 15 minutes, knocked a 1.89 60', but truck was slower everywhere else. pretty sure it was heat soaked. i think a 12 would be possible with ideal conditions.

truck has a 3.31 and as soon as it hits 5th it's a turd.... came home and looked at the logs, it hits the limiter almost instantly going into 5th, comes in about 5800 and only climbs 50-100 rpms in the last full second of the run.... and then commands 6th gear shift at just shy of 5900...

once the limiter is removed, she'll be a 12 second truck no problem, add a tune, a converter, she'll go low 12s easily. not bad for 4600lbs...

can't wait to get this tuned in the next week or so and then the vortech supercharger a couple weeks after that!!!

I’d not waste the money on a N/A tune, just add boost and tune it once
