Best Gear Ratio for 2000 F150 Regular Cab (5.4)

Hi I have a stock 2000 f150 regular cab with the 5.4 and i was wondering what the best gear ratio would for racing.

Light to light? If so I'd do 4.10's if you have stock size tires.

alright where is best place to buy these gears. And how much for install?

depends, which rear axle do you have?

If it is a 5.4 it most likely has the 9.75. If you put the 4.10's in your freeway mileage will go down by close to 2 miles a gallon. What size tire are you running? that will have alot to do with what gear you pick. Also that gear ratio with stock tires will kill your topend.
Your tire size, OD ratio will determine the best overall gear to choose.
