12 second truck
I just picked up the latest fast ford magazine. It was a special for trucks. They had a 5.4 twin turbo that was putting out 1100 hp.
That motor was worth about 10x my whole truck. BTW the new trans and converter are working great. The old trans couldn't spin the tires over for anything. Now with the new converter I can brake stall to about 1800 and anything over that tires spin. Makes for a good burnout. Right now I'm just trying to outrun my buddy's 05 chevy reg cab 4x4. Currently getting my *** handed to me but gonna try it with the nitrous.

just to bring this thread back from the grave a little update. New trans still working great. Same old 5.4 but now almost 190k on the clock. Damn CEL is on now. Been saving funds and waiting on the stock motor to go. What's gonna be the cheapest/best "if there is one" way to get another 5.4. I've really been liking the idea of getting a navigator motor/trans and putting it in the truck. Will the navi trans bolt up to my transfer case? Never messed with one. Also planning on doing all my motor work for myself to save a dime. I've read the navi motor comes with a forged crank so could I just lightly hone the bore and put on a set of forged rods and piston's? Back to the searching.
Just like it says. What is it gonna take to get my 2000 ex cab f150 5.4 auto 4x4 into the 12 second range. Truck is all stock. I'm taking it to the trans shop tomorrow. Gonna get the performance rebuild and a different converter. Prolly around a 3000 stall. truck has 170k on the clock. As far as the motor I know it's gonna take some kind of FI. I like the idea of a single turbo. Just wish there was a simple way of getting the stock manifolds to work. I then thought of the procharger setup. But most guys on heard like the + displacement chargers. I just want what will be faster through the 1/4. Anybody else have an opinion. Maybe a example.

the procharger set up right will out run an eaton, hence why my green truck has a procharger on it... I statred with the stock ATI kit and the simple upgrades helped out a lot and I am building the new motor now...
