You go to a good track and you will run a better time, that track blows! I from that area and the last time I was there " like 3 months ago" I spun thru 1st and into 2ed never again will I take my truck there

I just put 4.10's in and its alive now... Cant wait to get back on the track and see what it can do. It runs so much better around town or on the highway that it does at the strip, it gets so hot just sitting there waiting to run.

I just got back from the strip and the best I could do was 16.2 at 84mph . I was launching at around 1700rpm with a little bit of tire spin. It was 90 F out side with a 3/4 tank of gas. When the air finaly cooled down a good bit and I ran another time I must have spun the first 60 foot (ford factory limited slip my ***) And they just put DHT down . Im hoping once it cools down some more I will try agin. Does anyone know of a good psi to have BFG A/T to launch with. I had them at 40psi and it was not working so well. Also who makes a good posi that acutaly because I am think of doing 4.10 like built.

auburn and eaton make good posi's... but you will pay for them. bfgs really wont hook up on the street from a dig unless they are hot.

I trid to getem hot but it will only spin one. That is why I was thinking about a posi. I think I am going to try and drop them down to 25psi and see if it will hook a little better.

your best bet would be to get a posi because letting that much air out of a tire like that will only cause drag, so you may pick up acceleration time, but loose speed.

Cool

HI!... Well I ran at the dragstrip this sunday. Ran a best of 15.94E.T @86 mph. It was hot as hell. About 95 degree's with a ton of humidity. On a colder day I figure I can get a 15.7 out of her. Not bad for a 4100LB, 07 RANGER SPORT, EC, AUTO, 3.55, 4.0L thats BONE STOCK.

BTW my buddy brought up his 2006 REG-CAB, SB, DODGE RAM with the 5.7L HEMI. Completely bone stock, he ran a best of 15.88E.T at 87MPH. That was his best run. All the others were in the low 16's. He was pretty pissed that my stock v-6 Ranger was running with his mighty HEMI! BWAAAAAAA!

HI!... Because you can't. 4 different people drove the truck and it ran the same times. There was two other DODGE HEMI trucks there as well. Another reg-cab running 15.3's with slicks, CAI, and exhaust. The other was a 4x4 HEMI ram running in the low 17's.

Somthing's not adding up Neal. There is tons of info all over the net of stock Hemi trucks running faster than mentioned above. You're leaving somthing out.

1. Either the air is EXTREMELY thin at your 300FT above sea level home.
2. The track prep at this particualr track you speak of is absolutely terrible.
3. Or Canadians simply can't push a throttle at the correct time. LOL

I've seen bone stock rams run faster around here.. with my eyes!

LOL.

Like mentioned above. I'm not on the Hemi bandwagon. I'm not and have never been a Mopar fan, but the new Hemi truck will RUN! I went to the track ALOT at the end of last season (late summer-fall) and have witnessed every configuration of Hemi truck blow the #'s mentioned above out of the water.

Why am I surprised? I don't know. Somthing seriously wrong is happening at Neal's track if all the Hemi trucks are clicking off slower times than his Ranger. I'm sure your Ranger has a sweet Troyer tune and maybe some other mods....but seriously. Somthing isn't adding up.

LOL.. I don't know man.

I'm done stoking this flame.

I'm not the only person that has mentioned those trucks making better times in this thread.

By saying "it's not adding up" is myself trying to be nice about the fact that most of the crap spewed in this thread is total BS. Quad cab F150's 4X4 run Low 17's or less bone stock... and EVERYONE knows a quad cab hemi will dust em'. Period.

Cool

HI!... Well like I have mentioned before, most HEMI trucks (REG-CAB, SB) around here run in the mid to high 15's stock. It's always been like that. Mabey the CANADIAN model is different due to more strict emission laws. As for the track, it was hooking fine. ST. THOMAS DRAGWAY is known for being one of the best 60FT tracks around here. It was 95 degree's out, but if I can go 15.94E.T and pull off a 2.2 60FT time in a BONE STOCK FORD RANGER and that's with only 3.55 gears, then the HEMI RAM's have no excuses. My truck also weighs 4100LBS. Years ago my basically bone stock F-150 went 16.01E.T at this same track with a bit of tire spin out of the hole. That's with only 260H.P/350FT/LBS of TQ. That's why I'm totally not impressed with the HEMI RAMS.
