Question How to make a link?

Hi

I looked around here, but didnt find how to do.

I know how to make a link to another web-site.

How do you make the link for this site.....Your reading a thread on one board, its says to click on link and that takes you to another thread/board.

Sure is helpful for passing info. on other related threads.

Thanks....OT

BTW...hope i said that right, im no pc guru!

Old Timer, I think that it works fine if you just type the link in, the board automatically makes it into a link when you post it.

Yeah, just type it in and it becomes a link on it's own, don't do anything special. Just be sure that the start and finish of the link are spaced, because if you accidentally run-on to the next word it won't work. Hope I helped!

Hi Pickup

Thanks. I know how to make the link..that you made in your reply.

Im trying to find out how to make this link..

Example:

On F150online.com, your reading thread on "Elect. Bd" Someone makes a reply..saying for more info. etc on your question. click on this link...that takes you to a reply on same bd. or even another bd....made 3 months earlier on page 2.etc...

F150online.com....what follows .com?...seems to me thats what takes you to another thread.

Thanks....OT

Yes Raoul

Like that. Do i assume that clicking on that link is my answer?

Or did i assume wrong?

Now if i assumed wrong, then i assume that you just showed what comes after .com which i assume was in answer to my question.

I assume thanx is in order or did i assume wrong?

OT....

First,

Go to the post that you want to post a link to. Then highlight what is in the address spot (up above, below back, forward, stop, home, etc.). Highlight it by holding down on the left-click button on your mouse. Now post this into your new message as a link.

Is that what you are trying to do?

Hi O.T. ,
I assumed you would read the thread I linked to because I assumed you were asking the same question that Buzzard asked in that thread only in a different way.

I was getting confused because you asked about linking to a thread so, in response, I linked to a thread about someone asking low to link to a thread.

I thought about what I was doing and my head hurt. I started to understand why Steve just said,"You can't do that." and I started wishing I had said, "Yeah, what he said!".

J/k, bottom line is everyone gets the help they need. That's what makes this whole thing work.
