Popup Ads
I've got a cable modem (where it stays connected all the time) and all the sudden about two weeks ago I started getting pop-up ads all day long... I'd literally turn my computer on in the morning and have ten to fifteen pop-up ads for all sorts of different sites (the first being in online casino) without even having an internet browser open (they just pop up themselves sparadically all day long.) Deleted every temp directory, cookie's folder, java folder, temp internet files folder, and everything else, and it STILL does it!

Nope, no outside ads or popups being served on the site at all. I haven't had them for about six months now. Next time it happens, make note of the page you are on. Is it happening only on the forums? Are there images in the messages on that page? Have you downloaded any software lately? Do you see these on any other sites?

Can you be more specific...which page did you go to?
I can tell you with 150% confidence that they are NOT coming from the F150online website. If there are doubts, take a look at the source code for any page and you will see there is nothing there that would generate popup windows.
I have read about this kind of stuff recently, but I cannot remember where. I am guessing that About.com or one of its advertising affiliates is the culprit, as they are one of the nastiest companies that I know of with delayed "popunders." I would not doubt if their code has a "time lapse" feature to open popups randomly.
Incidentally, popups can also come from HTML formatted email as well. There are a number of popup killer applications out there if you want to do away with them completely.

Steve,
I went to my gallery to retrieve a pic. out of there to reply to a thread. And this popped up http://www.ownersite.com/. Is this part of online or not? I didn't look like it. It said something about tracking two vehicles at once. Thought you should know.

I just got a delayed pop under ad from Yahoo....
If you have a fast connection and switch pages quickly the POP Under ads are tough to track back to a certain source.
As Steve mentioned you can typically view the source of a page and see ifthey are spamming you with pop ads, takes a little sleuthing but you can track it down
