Sites acting up

Won't load, very slow. Whoever is posting those pictures across the top might be screwing it up. At times, can't get a page to load until those pics finish loading, - at the top. That takes forever and a day.

Concur. Those sure are resource hogs ... each successive iteration of these "improvements" is just adding clutter and no meaningful usability enhancements, IMHO

Additionally, aboot half the time, when viewing logged off, the 'Today's Posts' item in the black menu bar is not present.

I do appreciate the broadened Smiley support, however.

Please - get rid of the gallery and go back to the old template - the site is too wide for any monitor smaller than a 19" widescreen. I'm running 1280x1024 with my desktop and the right side is cut off - on my 1024x600 netbook it's unusable.

Another classic case where developers are using devices that a lot of folks simply do not have access to (or can afford) - huge HD displays, generous bandwidth and processing power.

It's clear there is very little functional testing being done on minimum-technical-solution mainstream, semi-legacy, and diverse hardware - else this would never have been released.

If you've made changes that affect the end-user experience, the very least you should do is publish the minimum system requirements that are required to achieve an acceptable experience.

Have to agree, something is definitely wrong with the site. Very slow and pages never seem to finish loading. Constant flashing of the activity light on the modem, even though everything seems to be there.

Much, much better!

The 'Photos' menu item (with camera icon, just to the right of the User CP item on the black menu bar) is a vast improvement!

Thank-you!
