Anyone else having major loading issues with pages on this site?

After the initial round of problems with the site that happened a few weeks or so ago now, I guess my computers never got the message.

It takes me at least 3 tries to get a thread to open. I get a "page can not be displayed" message after about 20 seconds of trying to load it. Other times all the sudden it will randomly load a page as it used to and then 2 seconds later it will take 3 tries again.

I have tried clearing up the browsing history, temp files, cookies, etc in hopes to help that but that has done nothing. This is also the case on 6 different computers I have tried now to use the site on.

It's basically acting like it did when the big problems were going on, except ocassionally I can get a page to load. For example its taken me almost 10 minutes to post this message due to having to attempt to load it nearly 7 times now.

Any ideas?

Do you have an add blocker? If not, that can help. Is it possible you have a lot of spyware that is slowing you down? Maybe need to run some software to get rid of spyware. Everything is moving fine for me.

I have problems sometimes at work but at home it works fine. I'm sure the issues at work can be blamed on NMCI though, not this site.

No spyware that I know of. I am on 5 different forums as an admin using the same version of vBulletin we have on here with no issues either. I do notice that the issues are more frequent here at work, but still a huge pain at home too.

I even took a friends completely rebuilt computer never having been on the internet and only booted up once and it did the same thing when this site was the first one I tried.

Im stumped.

Sheriff's office uses "Barracuda Web Filter" and it blocks alot of stuff, but not this site. I use a Verizon Air Card here in the cruiser and depending on the area this site loads fine. Big threads w/lots of pictures and I sometimes get red x's, but other than that NO PROBLEMS.

That is weird. I sometimes experience a slow down when they are doing backups, which unless they have changed, it's arounf 9:00 a.m. Other than that, I am having no problems at all. Not since the major crash stuff a week or so ago.

It seems to be back to its usual sluggish performance which we have been griping about for months and nothing seems to be getting done about it. At least it's not totally unusable like it was during the DDoS attacks.

Yea, it's still hanging, at times it won't load at all. That said, most of time it's been fine, on this end anyway.

Here's something new, -I could ALWAYS get to my old galleries by reloading 3 or 4 times max. For the first time, that doesn't work anymore. I know the old galleries have been deemed unreliable and not to count on them,- just something new I noticed.

We just did a major upgrade to the sites database server this morning, the site should be running quickly.
As part of the upgrade the site will no longer be slow while doing backups

Just wanted to let you know, part of the upgrade got delayed (and I didn't realize) we should be able to finalize the upgrade tomorrow.

It should bring ludicrous speed
Sorry about the inconvenience!
