why?

why sometimes does it say there are new posts in a thread ive viewed, but there arent any. like its got the arrow and all. but no new posts

I would recommend that you clear all of your cookies, log off of the site, and re-log on to the site. This will likely solve the problem...

The arrow means you have posted in that thread - the papers sticking out of the folder means there's new posts.
