Exclamation error page/hit refresh after posting/replying to thread

Every time I post in the past 2 days, it directs me to an error page that says to hit refresh on my browser. I do, then it's ok although sometimes it says I'm trying to do a duplicate post (which obviously I'm not). And after all that, my post shows as normal, but when you are on the main thread page again it doesn't show myself as being the last person to post in any of the threads I just posted in. Not sure but it may affect me getting an email when someone else replies to the threads I've posted in as well (which is an awesome feature, always loved that one).

It's not a huge deal or anything (just kind of annoying), but you guys may want to be aware of it if something is amiss on the site. Here is the error page stuff I just copied and pasted:

Database error
The F150online Forums database has encountered a problem.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:
Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
Open the www.f150online.com home page, then try to open another page.
Click the Back button to try another link.

The www.f150online.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Others have had this issue as well recently, including me. I'll bring it up with the IB staff.

I think it's a DNS issue, some requests aren't making it though to our server. We are looking into it, and apologize for the problems!

Thanks. Haven't had any emails from the site for 3 days now, have to go searching for threads to see if anything new has been posted. I miss my perfectly-working F150online.

OK, I posted 3 times just now in the TEST forum, and everything worked fine. I will post this and then EDIT and let you know if it works or not as well. But I also posted twice in the 2009 forum, and it gave me the same error/refresh message.

Here we go...

EDIT: Nope, didn't work here either. Just in the Test thread. Strange...

One other note. I DO still receive email notifications for any older thread I posted in. But nothing since this problem started in any new threads I post in.

Did I mention it also doesn't show that I posted in any threads I post in currently, doesn't show my name on main page as most recent poster, and doesn't move the thread to the top of page as most current written-in thread.

Example thread:

Thanks for the notice, Comet. We've had a gremlin or two as of late but, I'm not sure where the corrections stand. Hang with us...

I thought it was a bit strange last night - this thread was on the index page with this as the "last post" - with Comet as the last poster at a certain time, but opening the forum and opening the thread did not show Comet's last post.

It's odd that you say this... I noticed a similar 'weirdosity' the other day myself...

The 'last post' was reading as 3/11/09 rather than 'today'. Also, rather than reading 'yesterday', it read 3/10/09. No biggie but, it sounds like a similar observation from you...

I saw it too, it happened about the same time my number of available pages were reduced from however many were out there to two.

Maybe it's time for you guys to run some database maintenance - maintenance, update counters. Check with the IB gurus to find out which ones should be done and which ones you should leave alone.

Yeah.... we should probably check on that.... the thermothrusters on the neutron sling devices are also in need of a routine vegetable oil bath and will likely require that the split rings associated with the side release valve on both assemblies be pulled off and rebuilt in Guam.

Finally, something I can understand!
