Is There a Private Message Option Here?

I am a SuperMod and admin on a few very large car forums and this is the first one I have seen that doesn't have a PM option. I have lots out on two parts ads already because the email option didn't work correctly and was curious if there was a PM option.

Someone once told me you had to have 100 posts before you could use PM's and I went with that but have since surpassed the 100 count and still don't have the option. I take it this wasn't true?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds crazy but do you have the option turned on? Go under User CP, Edit Options and make sure there is a check mark next to Enable Private Messaging

There is a 90 day membership and 100 post requirement. As stated above, you need to check your Options to see if you have it checked for PMs.

It looks as if the 90 day requirement will be up about 2/21/09.

Your join date is 11-21-2008. Looks like you have to wait a little while longer.

To add a little bit of additional information...

We're exploring some options to lessen the restrictions on the PM system. We realize that the PM system is somewhat restrictive but, it's that way for a reason (to avoid unsolicited junk PMs and also other semi-malicious activities).

Just thought I'd offer that as a tidbit of an update.
