Sometimes when clicking to view a thread the page takes a lot longer than usual to load and it says "connecting to adserver.adtech.de" at the bottom of the window.

I am using Firefox. I have cleared all cookies, etc.

Any ideas?

Not much you can do except use an adblocker or blackhole that adserver in your hosts file. There is an adblocker extension available for Firefox.
