Question Senior Requirements ?????

Can,,, Could,,, Will,,, anyone tell me what the site requirements are to become a "senior" member???? There is nothing in the FAQ section....
And when will I be able to post an attachment to my threads/posts????
Just wondering, after all these years, what I have to do to prove myself on this site... I am quite sure I have Earned the right in the real world.............

The key is that none of the General Discussion posts count. Nobody has ever been able to post attachments to their posts. It has been like like since this site began.

Stupid question, but what does a senior member mean, what is different?

Not a stupid question at all... My answer, however, may sound a bit stupid... but, it's the truth.

It simply means that you've met the requirements of being a Senior Member. That being that you've posted 100 'legitimate' posts in forums outside of General Discussion.

In a nutshell, it's not really of huge significance. There was some chatter at one time about making it mean something a bit more and adding more privaledges as you go but, I'm not sure we ever went too far down that road. At one time, you needed to be a Senior Member to send and receive PMs or to execute other functionality on the site. Those limitations aren't in place any longer to my knowledge.

Rockpick is right in stating that it is of no huge significance, just the title change

Please define "General Discussion". Does that mean replies to existing threads???? So the posts that start a new thread are the only ones that count towards the "Magic 100"???

Attachments are not, and have never been aloud.

"general discussion is a forum section, such as 2004 owners, engines, suspension. Anything posted in a thread in the general discussion forum does not count towards your post count.

OK!!! I'm a little slow on these things,,,,, but I'm encouragable... I think!!!
I am obviously confused about the "attachment"
I recently read a post that I wanted to reply to where most of the replies attached a pic of the subject.... I could not, for some reason, ever get a pic to work. I thought that was considered an attachment???? I must have been wrong,,,, but why won't my pics attach to my post reply????
THANKS for being patient with me....

well they dont mean an actual attachment, what they meant was to put a pic in the thread, using this button paste the url to that pic in the screen that pops up, it adds the html codeing needed to post a pic, i see that you have a pic in your sig so im assuming you do know a little about this
