Different ads when using Firefox

Just wondering why I get nearly rated X ads on this forum when using the Firefox browser, and "normal" ads when I use my old Netscape 7.1 browser.
Did I miss some of the set up settings when I loaded Firefox? Plus I get a lot of "You just won........., click here to claim your prize", I don't get that with Netscape.

I don't get any ads with AdBlock Plus and NoScript loaded on FireFox.

Did you get that copy of FF from Dave?

Yeah try adblock plus, noscript, and user agent switcher plug-ins and you should be fine.

Thanks guys, I loaded Adblock Plus and chose the first subscription.
Opened up the forum and no more annoying unwanted inappropriate ads (so far).

No innappropriate ads being served from here. If the ads you are seeing vary from browser to browser, I would strongly suggest you scan your PC for spyware, that is the likely culprit.

Did a scan last night for spyware because I thought that was also the issue.
I have the latest McAfee Virus/Spyware edition and it came up with nothing from this scan.

I've just got the standard firefox with the pop-up blocker and i've never had any problems with that! lol Spyware still sounds like the culprit.
