Chevy Ads

You would think a site dedicated to Ford Trucks would not have ads for Chevys! How do you feel about it?

Never understood why seeing competitor ads on an (independently operated) enthusiast site was such a big deal. If you hate GM (or Toyota or Dodge) it should make you feel great that they are using their money so you can have a free resource to discuss your passion. I've never felt that a competitive ad buy made much sense on an enthusiast site, as I doubt that an F-150 owner is going to switch vehicles just from seeing an ad here, but I will take their money to help pay the bills.

Seeing as the ads are generated by keywords, if you don't want the ads then don't type the word. Theoretically if you type "Chevy" enough times then this thread should be LOUSY with ads for Chevy.

CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY CHEVY

Couldn't resist.

Actually, when you advertise through Google, you have the option of running keyword ads or targeting specific sites. These Chevy ads are running on a whole bunch of Ford enthusiast sites.

well of course they are running lots of adds on Ford sites. They want SOOO bad to knock Ford trucks off the number one spot. I think they will this year. I sure hope not though. That will be a sad day.

It works both ways. Here is a Ford ad on a Ch_vy site.
