Why?
Upload speeds are usually significantly slower than download speeds with DSL. How large are the images you are uploading and how many are you uploading at a time? If they are taken directly from a digital camera and are still at full resolution, they could be 3mb or more each. If you upload five of these at a time, that could be 15mb worth of data. Basic DSL usually offers 256kb/s upload speeds...not that fast when talking about that much data.

Yes they are in full size, don't know how to check size but I snapped them from my wife's 6.1 megapixel NIKON SLR. So I'll do it again and be patient. Thanks again for the info.
No problem. My Nikon D50 DSLR's fullsize images are often between 2.5 - 3.0mb in size. If you use Windows, you may want to check out the Image Sizer "PowerToy." It's extremely useful for resizing a batch of photos. Considering that we are going to resize them anyway, doing it on your computer beforehand saves upload time...

Why does it take so long to upload pictures into my gallery? Heck i've got DSL.
