Site Suggestion

Is there an option on here like this??:

Where someone asks a question in the title of a new thread and has the option to click the "has this already been asked" button?? It appears do to a quick search.

Myself, I don't care when people ask the same question over and over again...I can't stand the "Do a search!!" responses...either way hopefully this option will cut down on both..

Thanks,
Craig

Interesting idea, but I guarantee that it will not work. I looked for the code to make this work (it's a 3rd party hack) and all it does is search for the phrase that the user put in the box in the titles of other threads. For it to actually be of value, it would need some fuzzy logic, as if someone input "what is the largest tire that will fit on my F150?" it would not match with "how large a tire..." and "...fit on my F-150." Subtle differences in wording make this of little value, IMO. Besides, people already ignore the bold, red type above the post form and they already don't search using the search itself before posting...I think this would create more frustration than value.
