Talking getting my picture

I always see users with pics of there truck every time they post a thread. I have my own gallery of my truck, but how do I move one of those pictures so it pops up with evrey thread I post. I tried editing my signature and adding a image but I couldnt transfer the image over. Could you explain to me how I go about doing that

Thankyou

just like when you post a pic, you need to do the same but in your signature. you use the [IMG] tags around the URL of the pic. whatever you use keep it small. don't use a full size pic.

this shows all the code to use.

once you have a signature you check "show your signature" when you make a post.

go to the Testing forum to practice.

I actually still don't get it. I use the [img] tags when posting pics and it still just puts links to the pics up.....not the actual pics. I don't get it?

to post a pic you need to put the URL between the image tags.

to get the URL, right click on the image, click Properties, then copy the Address: (URL). you can then paste this in between the tags.

If you post a pic hosted on this site in a gallery, it will be resized. from other parts of the web it will stay the same size. some sites don't allow hot linking so you will get a red X when you try to post the pic.

Try this:

Go to your gallery.

Open album.

lower right corner, click on "forum codes"

when you get the pop up, right click on address line and copy,

click ok.

Go to "user cp"

go to edit your signiture page.

click on "insert image"

right click and past the url. Do not remove the http://

click ok.

click on preview signiture.

That's the very process I use...and it still only puts hyperlinks to my pics....not the actual pics.

It's alot easier if you save the photo to your gallery on this site first. If you are trying to bring an image over from another site;

(Note: Because of abuses, effective February 5, 2003 outside image linking is no longer permitted from the F150online Photo Galleries)

I have them saved to my harddrive already. But, without an attachment tab at the bottom of posts like other forums....how would you pull it from your documents?

Click on Photo Gallaries up top.

click on create your own.

once you have your own gallery,

just click on add photo.

I'm going to get some coffee. Be back in awhile to help.

to post directly from your hard drive is an Attachment and we don't use them here.

you need to make a gallery and then when you add pics to it you will upload them from your hard drive in to the gallery. you can then post them in threads linking from the gallery.

the first thing you need to is make a gallery.

Gotcha....that's what I gathered in the beginning. But then expy03 said something about saving them to the hard drive. So I thought he was about to describe a way to do it.

Yeah, as I said earlier....I just need to wash the truck and get some better pics and make a gallery.
